Código 1530 Tequila is a premium tequila brand that originated in Amatitán, a town in the Jalisco region of Mexico. It is renowned for its high-quality, artisanal production methods and its commitment to producing exceptional tequilas.

The name ‘Código 1530’ is inspired by the centuries-old codex that prescribes the exact method of tequila production in the Los Bajos region of Jalisco. This codex was introduced to preserve the integrity and quality of tequila production.

Código 1530 Blanco Tequila is the unaged expression of the Código 1530 tequila range. It is renowned for its smooth and pure flavour profile, which captures the essence of the 100 per cent blue Weber agave from which it is made.

The production of Código 1530 Blanco begins with hand-picked, ripe agaves, which are harvested and slowly cooked in traditional brick ovens. This cooking process helps to release the flavours and natural sugars in the agave, which are essential for producing a high-quality tequila.

After cooking, the agave is crushed to extract the juice, which is then fermented using the brand’s own yeast strain. This fermentation process takes several days, allowing the yeast to convert the sugar into alcohol, resulting in a flavourful and aromatic spirit.

Once fermentation is complete, the tequila is double-distilled in small copper stills. This distillation process helps to refine the flavours and ensure a smooth and well-balanced tequila.
