Código 1530 Tequila is a premium tequila brand that originated in Amatitán, a town in the Jalisco region of Mexico. It is renowned for its high-quality, artisanal production methods and its commitment to producing exceptional tequilas.

The name ‘Código 1530’ is inspired by the centuries-old codex that prescribes the exact method of tequila production in the Los Bajos region of Jalisco. This codex was introduced to preserve the integrity and quality of tequila production.

To produce Código 1530 Rosa, the distillers first use 100 per cent blue Weber agave, harvested at the peak of its ripeness. The agave is then cooked in traditional brick ovens to extract its flavours and sugars. After cooking, the agave is crushed and the juice is fermented using a proprietary yeast strain. Following fermentation, the tequila is double-distilled in small copper stills to produce a refined, high-quality spirit. What makes Código 1530 Rosa special is its unique ageing process. It is left to rest for one month in uncharred French white oak barrels that previously held Napa Valley Cabernet. This short ageing period allows the tequila to absorb subtle wine notes and contributes to its delicate pink colour.
