It takes its name from Cruz Loma, a hill on the slopes of Pichincha that is closely linked to significant events in Ecuadorian history. The Battle of Pichincha, which played a decisive role in Ecuador’s independence, took place in the immediate vicinity on 24 May 1822. In the production of this handcrafted small-batch gin, Juniperus communis – the classic juniper – takes centre stage as the defining botanical. In this way, Cruzloma stays true to the traditional character of a London Dry Gin, in which juniper forms the defining aroma.

Another distinctive feature of Cruzloma Premium Gin from Ecuador is the water used for hydration after distillation. This water comes from underground springs in La Maná in the province of Cotopaxi and is influenced by the region’s volcanic landscape. The low-mineral spring water is characterised by its unique mineral composition and is used to adjust the gin to its drinking strength after distillation. Cruzloma Handcrafted Small Batch London Dry Gin is produced in small batches and bottled at 44% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle. This blend combines Ecuadorian origins, volcanic spring water, traditional juniper aromas and small-batch production to create a distinctive London Dry Gin from South America.
