The Fettercairn whisky distillery was founded in 1824 by Sir Alexander Ramsay in the Scottish Highlands. After Glenlivet, Fettercairn was the second distillery to be granted an official distilling licence. After changing hands numerous times, the distillery was sold to United Spirits Limited in 2007. To this day, the bottles bear the white unicorn coat of arms, which was introduced as a trademark by Sir Alexander Ramsay. The ring around the neck of the bottle and the grooves on the bottle reflect the unique features of the distillation stills with external cooling.

Every single malt from Fettercairn Warehouse 2 has a tropical character, which stems from the copper-cooled ring distillation process.

This special single malt from the Highlands is matured in ex-bourbon casks, rum casks and French red wine barriques. After maturation, it is bottled without chill filtration or colouring.
