Description
Don Julio González learnt his craft and gained experience in tequila production from his own family. At the age of just 17, he founded his own distillery and began to develop a unique range of tequilas.
Don Julio Añejo is aged for at least one year in small white oak casks. Although this ageing period may seem short at first glance, it is accelerated by the Mexican climate, resulting in the development of intense flavours.
Under Mexican law, tequila may only be distilled in specific regions of Mexico from the fermented juice of the ‘Agave Tequiliana Weber’.
This traditional production method emphasises the uniqueness and importance of origin and craftsmanship in the production of this classic Mexican drink.
