Zacapa 23 Centenario Gran Reserva, one of the world’s most renowned and well-known rums, is produced by the Guatemalan rum brand Zacapa, which was founded in 1976. Zacapa is internationally renowned for its high-quality rums, which are produced using a unique and highly complex ageing process.
The rum is produced in the highlands of Guatemala, where the cool climate and high altitude create optimal conditions for ageing. The sugar cane used, which grows on fertile volcanic soil, gives the rum a distinctive flavour profile that sets it apart from other varieties.
The fourth release from Zacapa’s ‘Heavenly Cask Collection’ is the Ron Zacapa Centenario Sistema Solera La Pasión, which is aged in ex-American whisky casks, charred American whisky casks and ex-Oloroso sherry casks, before receiving a special finish in ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
