The history of Botran Rum has its origins in Spain, where five brothers discovered their love of rum. In the 1940s, they set off on a journey to Guatemala and eventually founded the Botran brand.

Botran Rum is part of the Rare Blend Collection and is produced from the Botran family’s extra-aged and finest rum reserves, distilled from sugar cane juice.

A distinctive feature of this rum is its maturation in five different types of oak casks: ex-American whisky, ex-American whisky (medium toasted), ex-Spanish fortified wine, ex-Portuguese fortified wine and ex-agave casks.

During bottling, cold filtration is deliberately avoided in order to preserve the product’s natural flavours.

Each of these steps imparts specific flavours and nuances to the rum, contributing to its complexity and depth.
