The long-established company Glen Grant was founded in 1840 by the brothers James and John Grant in the village of Rothes. The distillery produces a whisky called Arboralis, which is made using the soft water of the River Spey.

The name ‘Arboralis’ roughly translates as ‘the light from the trees’ and refers to the numerous trees in the Victorian gardens surrounding the distillery.

Arboralis is characterised by Glen Grant’s signature style, which is defined by fruity and floral aromas as well as a hint of spiciness.
