In addition to Caskmates Stout, the Midleton Distillery has launched another variant of Jameson Whiskey. This Jameson has been matured in casks that previously held Indian Pale Ale, and is therefore known as ‘Jameson Caskmates IPA’.
The collaboration between the Midleton Distillery and Franciscan Well Brewery – based in Cork and renowned for its high-quality casks – plays a crucial role in the production of this whisky.
The Caskmates IPA blends were matured exclusively in the brewery’s casks that had previously held Indian Pale Ale. This gives the Jameson Caskmates IPA a unique flavour profile that combines the aromas of Irish whisky with the characteristic nuances of Indian Pale Ale.
