The Planteray Rum Jamaica VRW 2017 Kentucky Bourbon Cask Finish is a limited-edition release from the renowned Planteray Vintage Collection, which is prized for its authentic vintage rums with distinctive cask finishes. With an alcohol content of 52% vol., having been matured since the 2017 vintage, and bottled in an elegant 0.7-litre bottle complete with a high-quality gift box (GB), it is aimed at connoisseurs of full-bodied, characterful rums.


Produced in Jamaica, this rum is based on a blend of pot still distillates, which lends it both aromatic intensity and a smooth balance. It was initially matured for several years in the tropics in ex-bourbon casks before undergoing an additional finish in selected Kentucky bourbon casks in France. This double-ageing process gives the rum a complex bouquet, in which the typical Jamaican ester notes blend with vanilla, caramel and a subtle woody spice.
