Ron Izalco embodies a journey through the stunning volcanic landscape of Central America, known as the ‘Lighthouse of the Pacific’. The Izalco volcano, from which the rum takes its name, stands at an altitude of 1,950 metres and last erupted in 1966. The volcanic activity, combined with the region’s tropical climate, has resulted in mineral-rich, black soil that provides ideal conditions for growing sugar cane.

These natural conditions, together with historical and cultural influences, form the basis for the production of Ron Izalco. The unique composition of the soil and the climatic environment contribute significantly to the quality of the sugar cane, which in turn forms the basis for the production of this rum.

Ron Izalco 10 Years is a high-quality premium rum which achieves remarkable quality through its long ageing in American white oak bourbon casks. It is the result of a multinational blend of rums from various Central American countries, including rare rum from El Salvador. The meticulous production process and the growing conditions of the sugarcane have helped this rum to win numerous awards at international spirits competitions shortly after its launch.
