Cardhu, renowned for its smooth and mellow whiskies, is steeped in history and tradition. The distillery is situated in the heart of Speyside, Scotland’s most important whisky-producing region, and has been producing high-quality spirits since 1811. Founded by Helen Cumming and later by Elizabeth Cumming, Cardhu is regarded as one of the first women-led businesses in the whisky industry. The distillery takes pride in its time-honoured production methods, which have been refined over generations.

The water used for Cardhu whiskies is drawn from the Mannoch Hill springs to ensure purity and quality. The barley is carefully malted and gently smoked, using traditional techniques to preserve the natural flavours. Twelve years’ maturation in hand-selected oak casks allows Cardhu’s distinctive smoothness and rich character to develop.

This special edition to mark the 200th anniversary not only celebrates two centuries of exceptional whisky-making, but also pays tribute to the pioneering spirit of its founders. It embodies the tradition and innovation that have made Cardhu a symbol of whisky.
