Harahorn Orange Dry Gin is produced at ‘Det Norske Brenneri’ on the south coast of Norway. This gin is based on the distillery’s standard Norwegian Gin and is further flavoured with lemons, limes and oranges. The alcoholic base for this gin is potatoes, which is unusual in gin production. Typical botanicals used in Norwegian gin include juniper, angelica root, as well as regional ingredients such as blueberries, wild marjoram, caraway, seaweed and rhubarb.

Production of Harahorn Gin is limited to 400 litres per batch, which underlines its exclusivity and artisanal quality. The name ‘Harahorn’ refers both to a nearby mountain and to a figure from Norwegian mythology: a wild hare with antlers.

‘Det Norske Brenneri’, located in Grimstad, was founded in 2011 as Norway’s first private distillery in more than eighty years and produces aquavit and whisky as well as gin. This distillery marks a revival of the traditional Norwegian art of distillation and is renowned for its high-quality spirits.
