Description
The Glenmorangie Distillery, founded in 1843 in the Scottish Highlands near Tain, is famous for its exquisite single malt Scotch whiskies. These are distilled in Scotland’s tallest stills, resulting in a particularly refined and smooth spirit. Glenmorangie is renowned for its innovative cask-finishing technique, which involves maturing whiskies in various types of casks, such as port, sherry and wine casks, giving them a unique depth of flavour.
Glenmorangie is also strongly committed to sustainability, with initiatives to reduce CO₂ emissions and reuse water, making the distillery a pioneer not only in the whisky industry but also in global spirits production. The distillery remains true to its tradition whilst continually striving to minimise its environmental footprint whilst maintaining the quality of its whiskies.
The latest creation from Dr Bill Lumsden, the award-winning Master of Whisky, is the Triple Cask Reserve, which undergoes an innovative maturation process. This whisky is matured in a triptych of casks: first in bourbon casks, then in newly charred oak casks and finally in rye casks. This carefully selected combination of casks helps the flavours to blend into perfect harmony, revealing exceptional depth and complexity.
To emphasise the distinctive nature of this bottling, the Triple Cask symbol replaces the original giraffe logo. This new symbol signifies the unique and unrivalled quality of the Triple Cask Reserve, which achieves a harmonious triad of flavours through its triple cask maturation.
