Casa Lupo Amarone della Valpolicella is synonymous with first-class winemaking and tradition. This cuvée is made up of 65 per cent Corvina, 15 per cent Corvinone, 10 per cent Rondinella and 10 per cent other grape varieties. The vineyards are situated at an altitude of 450 metres and are characterised by limestone formations containing fossils, particularly Biancone marble.

The grapes are harvested by hand in several passes during the last two weeks of September to ensure optimal ripeness. They are then left to dry in drying sheds until December/January, a process whereby water loss concentrates the grapes’ aromas and compounds.

Fermentation and maceration take place in small stainless-steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 18–24 months in oak barrels ranging from 500 to 1,000 litres. Following this ageing period, the wine is bottled and sealed with a natural cork.
