In 1753, soldiers erected a memorial stone bearing the inscription ‘Rest and Be Thankful’ at the summit of Glen Croe, which serves as a traditional resting place for mountaineers. This rum was distilled in 2015 at Lluidas Vale, Worthy Park, Jamaica, undergoing rapid fermentation for around 30 hours in American oak tanks, followed by pot-still distillation in a Forsyth pot still. Once distillation was complete, the rum was matured for four years on site in Jamaica in ten first-fill American white oak bourbon casks, before the distillate was transported to Scotland for a further three years to reach its full potential.

The result – a ‘light’-style molasses rum – captivates with its delicate yet complex structure. No chill filtration was carried out during bottling, and neither sugar nor caramel colouring was added.
