This bottling was matured entirely in Colombian oak (Quercus Humboldtii) – a type of cask wood extremely rarely used in the world of whisky. This species of oak grows predominantly in the highlands of Colombia and lends the whisky a distinctive, complex flavour profile that differs markedly from classic maturations in American or European oak.
