The Hennessy distillery, founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy in Cognac, France, is today one of the world’s most renowned cognac houses. Richard Hennessy, an Irish officer who emigrated to Cognac, founded the company ‘Jas Hennessy & Co’, which quickly established a worldwide reputation.
Hennessy cognacs are produced exclusively from grapes grown in the Cognac region. After double distillation in traditional copper stills, pure eaux-de-vie is produced, which serves as the basis for the high-quality cognacs. The Hennessy XO is then aged in new oak casks, which give it its unique flavour. The distinctive bottle design for this Hennessy XO was created by Gérald de Geoffre and underlines the company’s commitment to luxury.
