The Bushmills Distillery, situated in picturesque County Antrim in Northern Ireland, is the world’s oldest licensed whisky distillery. Its origins date back to 1608, when Sir Thomas Phillips was granted the first licence to produce whisky in the region. For over 400 years, the art of whisky production has been cultivated here at the Bushmills Distillery and passed down from generation to generation.

Jose Cuervo and Bushmills have launched the ‘Steamship Collection’, an exclusive range for the duty-free market, inspired by the SS Bushmills, a 125-year-old steamship. In 1890, this ship marked the beginning of Bushmills’ international trade, particularly with the USA and Asia. The fourth edition of this whisky was produced using an elaborate triple distillation process, giving it exceptional purity and smoothness. The whisky was then allowed to mature in first-fill Caribbean rum casks, lending it a unique and multi-faceted flavour profile.

This anniversary whisky commemorates the 125th anniversary of the historic trading voyage and celebrates the distillery’s rich tradition.
