The Niepoort winery, one of the best-known in Portugal, was founded in 1842 by Eduard Kebe and looks back on a long tradition and history. Today, the estate is run by the fifth generation of the family and successfully combines tradition with innovation to produce wines of the highest quality. Niepoort has earned an excellent reputation worldwide and is synonymous with exclusive wines that impress with their character and complexity.

In the renowned Cima Corgo region, the vines grow on steep terraces, where they take root in the barren schist soils and absorb valuable flavour characteristics. This unique terroir lends the wines a mineral depth and a distinctive aromatic profile. The ‘Fabelhaft’, one of the house’s best-known creations, offers impressive drinking pleasure even in its youth and is an excellent choice for a wide range of occasions.

Made from the grape varieties Tinta Barroca, Tinta Cão, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Francesa, Touriga Nacional and other indigenous grapes, the wine is carefully matured in small wooden casks. This method gives the Fabelhaft its delicate balance between fruit and spice, making it a prime example of the quality and elegance of Portuguese wines.
