The historic Tamdhu Distillery in Scotland’s Speyside region is renowned for its uncompromising commitment to maturation in Oloroso sherry casks. This bottling, too, is matured for 12 years exclusively in first-fill and refill Oloroso sherry casks made from American and European oak, sourced from Jerez in Spain. This consistent cask selection defines Tamdhu’s distinctive style and ensures exceptional depth and elegance. The whisky is bottled at its natural colour and remains true to the traditional Speyside recipe, which uses only a very small amount of peat. This results in just a barely perceptible hint of smoke in the finish, without overpowering the classic sherry cask character.
