Description
La Contesse is a winery that has been run by the Bonotto family since 1970. It is situated at the foot of the hill in Conegliano Valdobbiadene, in the province of Treviso, Italy.
The winery specialises in the production of Prosecco and primarily uses the Glera grape variety, which is ideally suited to the production of sparkling wine.
Le Contesse Prosecco Frizzante Treviso is made from 100% Glera grapes sourced from the province of Treviso. The grapes are carefully harvested in the first and second ten-day periods of September to ensure optimal ripeness. After the grapes have been gently pressed, the must is clarified and fermented at low temperatures to preserve its freshness and aromas.
The second fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled pressure tanks (autoclaves) using selected yeasts, which gives the Prosecco its fine effervescence and harmonious structure. After ageing, this dry Prosecco is bottled and sealed with a screw cap.
