Petovia Domači Rum is an indispensable classic of Slovenian cuisine and has been prized for decades, particularly in the preparation of traditional desserts and cakes. Its characteristic aroma and distinctive flavour also make it a popular ingredient in hot drinks such as tea, Punsch, grog or coffee, as well as for enhancing cocktails.

Produced in Slovenia, this rum is based on a distillate obtained by distilling fermented syrup made from molasses or sugarcane juice, which is distilled to a maximum alcohol content of 96 per cent. The rum then acquires its characteristic rum aroma and reddish-brown caramel colour through the deliberate addition of colouring agents.
