The Burrito Fiestero Mezcal Artesanal Cenizo 40% vol. 0.7 l is an artisanal mezcal from Mexico, renowned for its authenticity and its close ties to the Durango region. It is produced in small batches by local mezcaleros who have passed down their knowledge through the generations. The name ‘Burrito Fiestero’ refers to the mezcal’s cultural roots: it stands for conviviality, tradition and a zest for life, all of which are captured in every bottle.


The basis of this mezcal is the rare Agave cenizo (Durangensis), which thrives in the highlands of Durango. This wild agave species takes up to 12 years to reach full maturity. After harvesting, the hearts (piñas) are cooked in earthen ovens over a wood fire, then crushed using traditional stone mills (tahona) and fermented in open wooden casks. Double distillation takes place in copper stills, producing a particularly pure and characterful distillate. With an alcohol content of 40% vol., the Burrito Fiestero Mezcal is pleasantly approachable without losing any of its depth or expressiveness.
