The Antinori family has been involved in wine production for more than 600 years, starting with Giovanni di Piero Antinori's admission to the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri in 1385. This tradition, which spans 26 generations, has always been led directly by the family, characterised by innovative choices with constant respect for tradition and origin.

Every vintage and every innovation is seen as an opportunity to improve quality. Marquis Piero Antinori emphasises that the family's historical roots are an important part of its philosophy, but have never been an obstacle to innovation.

Villa Rosso, first created by Niccolò Antinori in 1928 and later renamed Villa Antinori by Piero Antinori, is an important red wine in the Antinori tradition. This wine combines grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Merlot and Syrah. It is matured for 12 months in French, Hungarian and American oak barriques, followed by eight months of ageing after bottling. The wine thrives on sandy and chalky soil and is sealed with a natural cork.
