Tenuta San Guido Le Difese IGT 2023 is an elegant yet characterful red wine from Tuscany with 13.5% vol. that bears the signature of one of Italy's most important wineries: Tenuta San Guido - world-famous for the legendary Sassicaia. With Le Difese, the winery presents a "little brother" of Sassicaia, but one with a distinctive profile, international stature and an outstanding price-pleasure ratio.

The cuvée of the 2023 vintage consists of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Sangiovese - a combination that unites the structure and flavour of Cabernet with the freshness and elegance of Sangiovese. The grapes come from the Tenuta's own vineyards, located in the gentle hills of the Maremma near Bolgheri, where the combination of sun, sea influence and calcareous soils creates ideal conditions for expressive red wines. The wine is aged for several months in second and third passage French barriques in order to preserve the fruit and yet give the wine fine depth and structure.
