The Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin Panda Conservation Edition 43% vol. 0.7 l is an exquisite special edition of the award-winning Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin from The Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo, Ireland. This special bottling impresses not only with its distinctive flavour and the artistically gold-foiled ceramic design, but also through its contribution to species conservation: A portion of the proceeds from every bottle sold is donated to the Sichuan Green Foundation in China to support the protection of giant pandas and the conservation of their natural habitat.


The inspiration for this edition came high in the mountains of the Chinese province of Sichuan, where PJ Rigney, founder and master distiller of Drumshanbo, was wandering through the bamboo forests. This encounter with the tranquillity and beauty of nature sparked a new form of inspiration in his ‘Curious Mind’ – the idea of combining enjoyment with responsibility and environmental awareness.


The gin itself is based on the distillery’s tried-and-tested recipe and combines traditional Irish distilling craftsmanship with exotic botanicals from around the world. Alongside juniper, angelica root and coriander seeds, Asian gunpowder tea, orange and grapefruit peel create a vibrant, fresh and balanced interplay of aromas. Slow distillation in copper stills preserves the delicate flavours and gives the gin its unrivalled balance between citrus freshness, herbal spice and a gentle hint of tea bitterness.
