Description
The Conde Valdemar Gran Reserva Rioja DOC 2017 is a matured premium wine from the heart of La Rioja, Spain’s most historic wine-growing region. The Bujanda family, owners of the renowned Conde Valdemar estate, can look back on over 130 years of winemaking history and are among the region’s most influential producers. This Gran Reserva comes from the Rioja Alta region and represents an elegant, classically vinified Rioja with great depth and ageing potential.
The blend comprises Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha and the indigenous Maturana variety – an exciting combination that unites complexity, fruit and ageing potential. The vines thrive on clay soils, which lend the wine structure and substance. Following fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine was aged for 25 months in French and American oak, lending it depth, elegance and subtle spice. Sealed with a natural cork and with ageing potential until at least 2027, this wine is an ideal example of the classic Rioja style with a modern twist.
