Description
The Conde Valdemar Gran Reserva Rioja DOC 2017 is a mature, top-quality wine from the heart of La Rioja, Spain's most traditional wine region. The Bujanda family, owners of the renowned Conde Valdemar winery, can look back on over 130 years of winemaking history and is one of the region's style-defining wineries. This Gran Reserva comes from the Rioja Alta region and stands for elegant, classically vinified Rioja with plenty of depth and ageing potential.
The cuvée consists of Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha and the indigenous Maturana variety - an exciting interplay that combines complexity, fruit and ageing potential. The vines thrive on clay soils that provide structure and substance to the wine. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is matured for 25 months in French and American oak, which gives it depth, elegance and fine flavour. Sealed with natural cork and with ageing potential until at least 2027, this wine is an ideal representative of the classic Rioja style with a modern twist.
