With an alcohol content of 48% ABV and strictly limited to just 4,200 bottles worldwide, this exceptional Highland Blended Malt Scotch Whisky combines Douglas Laing’s unmistakable signature with the aromatic influence of sun-ripened Moscatel wine casks from Spain.


The base is the characteristic Timorous Beastie Highland Blended Malt, renowned for its balance of honeyed sweetness, malt and subtle spicy notes. This edition has been finished in Purple and White Moscatel casks, lending the whisky a fascinating complexity and elegant fruitiness. Complemented by Strathearn single casks and bottled without colouring or chill filtration, this limited edition retains its pure, natural character – a prime example of artisanal whisky finishing.


The name ‘Timorous Beastie’ is inspired by the field mouse of the same name from the famous poem ‘To a Mouse’ by Scotland’s national poet Robert Burns – yet this whisky is anything but timid. It displays strength, elegance and character that express Douglas Laing’s Highland style in a new, fruity and floral dimension.
