José Cuervo Especial Silver is a classic blanco tequila from Mexico, and one of the best-known and most popular of its kind worldwide. It is produced by the long-established Casa Cuervo, one of the world’s oldest tequila producers, based in Tequila, Jalisco. Since 1795, this family-run business has been producing high-quality distillates from blue Weber agaves sourced from the region around Tequila. José Cuervo Especial Silver is a so-called ‘Mixto’ tequila, which means that, in addition to agave juice, other sugar compounds are used in the fermentation process – a characteristic typical of many tequilas in this category.
