Description
The Glenfarclas THE FAMILY CASKS Single Cask SUMMER 2024 Plain Butt #2112 is a strictly limited single cask release from 2008, bottled on 1 August 2024 at 57.7% ABV in cask strength. This exclusive edition is limited to just 538 bottles worldwide and is delivered, as befits its status, in a high-quality wooden box. As part of the renowned Family Casks Collection, this bottling exemplifies the uncompromising commitment to quality of the historic Speyside distillery Glenfarclas, which has been wholly family-owned for generations.
The whisky comes from a single cask, a Plain Butt, which is characterised by a comparatively subtle influence of the wood and places the focus squarely on the distillery’s character. This single cask whisky has been bottled without chill filtration and without the addition of colouring agents, thereby fully preserving its structure, depth and natural cask-maturation characteristics. The Family Casks series traces its origins to the foresight of George S. Grant and draws on the distillery’s exceptional cask stock, which spans several decades. Today, this Linie is overseen by John and George Grant, the fifth and sixth generations of the family, meaning that every bottling is not only a cask-strength Scotch whisky but also a documented piece of the distillery’s history.
