As part of the renowned Family Casks Collection, this bottling embodies the consistent preservation of cask history, craftsmanship and distillery tradition at the Speyside distillery Glenfarclas, which has been family-owned for six generations.


The whisky comes from a single cask, a classic sherry butt, which is known for imparting an intense and character-defining influence of the wood. This type of cask is closely associated with the traditional style of Glenfarclas and lends the whisky depth, complexity and maturity. This single cask Scotch whisky has been bottled without chill filtration and without the addition of colouring agents, thereby fully preserving the natural character of the cask-matured whisky. The Family Casks series traces its origins to the foresight of George S. Grant and is based on an exceptionally extensive cask stock spanning several decades. Each bottling precisely records the cask number, cask type, year of distillation and bottling date, making every bottle a unique testament to the distillery’s history.
