The name ‘Tatone’ – an affectionate term for ‘grandfather’ in the local dialect – refers to the powerful yet gentle character of this special wine.

The grapes come from vineyards with calcareous clay soils, situated on ideal slopes characterised by Mediterranean influences and cool downslope winds from the Apennines.
