The use of traditional copper stills creates the style typical of Glen Scotia, with an elegant interplay of fruit, spice and a subtle coastal note. For this Glen Scotia Double Cask whisky, the spirit is first matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks made from American oak, before receiving a finishing touch in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. This second cask maturation adds further depth and particularly enhances the whisky’s sweeter and fruitier nuances. Bottled at 46% ABV and unchill-filtered, this single malt Scotch whisky retains its natural texture and intense flavour profile. The combination of bourbon cask maturation and PX sherry cask finish creates a harmonious interplay of creamy sweetness, ripe fruit and spicy oak, accompanied by the characteristic light sea breeze typical of Campbeltown whiskies.
