The Octomore EDITION: 16.2 Super Heavily Peated Islay Single Malt Release 2025 58.1% Vol. 0.7 l in a tin box is a limited-edition special bottling from the Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay and forms part of the legendary Octomore range, which is regarded worldwide as the benchmark for extremely peated whiskies. The 16.2 also impresses with a phenol content of 101.4 ppm, giving it the same peat level as the Octomore 16.1.


The Octomore 16.2 is 5 years old and has been matured in a combination of four different cask types, lending it exceptional depth and aromatic complexity. Thanks to this variety of casks, it develops an exciting balance between intense smokiness, fruity sweetness, spicy wood notes and subtle toasted aromas. It is bottled in its natural state, unchill-filtered, without colouring, and at a robust cask strength of 58.1% vol. It thus presents itself as authentic, powerful and multi-layered – a typical Octomore that nevertheless develops its own distinct personality through the selection of casks.
