Description
The SOMMOS Varietales Somontano D.O.P. 2022 is a characterful Spanish red wine from the up-and-coming Somontano region in Aragón. This cuvée is made from Syrah, Garnacha and Tempranillo grapes, which thrive in the high-altitude vineyards at the foot of the Pyrenees. The calcareous and gravelly soils, combined with the continental climate characterised by hot days and cool nights, lend the grapes a distinct aromatic profile, power and, at the same time, elegant freshness.
The grapes are carefully harvested by hand and fermented under temperature-controlled conditions. The wine is then aged for several months in oak barrels, which gives it additional depth, spice and structure. With an alcohol content of 14% vol., the SOMMOS Varietales 2022 combines the spice of Syrah, the juicy fruit of Garnacha and the classic elegance of Tempranillo. The SOMMOS winery, renowned for its innovative architecture and sustainable winemaking practices, has produced a modern red wine that perfectly embodies the strengths of the Somontano terroir.
