The Penderyn COPPEROPOLIS Icons of Wales Single Malt Welsh Whisky Sweet Red Wine Finish 46% vol. 0.7 l + GB is a limited-edition release from the renowned Penderyn Distillery, which is regarded as the first whisky distillery in Wales for over a century. With its ‘Icons of Wales’ series, the distillery pays tribute to significant chapters in Welsh history – ‘Copperopolis’ refers to the rich copper heritage of the Swansea region, which was once known worldwide as ‘Copperopolis’.

This single malt Welsh whisky is produced using the Faraday distillation process typical of Penderyn and was initially matured in select oak casks before receiving its finish in sweet red wine casks. This special secondary maturation lends it a complex bouquet with a balance of fruity sweetness, refined oak and spicy undertones. Bottled at 46% ABV, unfiltered and with no added colouring, this whisky reveals its natural depth and purity.
