The Salzl New Style Chardonnay 2023 is an expressive white wine from Burgenland that perfectly embodies the modern style of the Salzl winery. With its clear structure, elegant power and creamy richness, it stands out as a Chardonnay of international calibre. The grapes come from Paratschernosem soils, which consist of loamy sand with a high gravel content. This terroir lends the wine its mineral freshness and precise fruit expression.


The vinification was carried out with great care: following alcoholic and malolactic fermentation at 15 °C, the wine matured on its fine lees in small oak barrels, whilst being stirred regularly. This technique gives the Chardonnay its creamy texture, richness and aromatic complexity. It will be ready to drink from 2025 and, with optimal storage, will remain so until at least 2033, making it a wine with impressive ageing potential. With an alcohol content of 14% vol., the Salzl New Style Chardonnay 2023 perfectly combines concentration, elegance and balance.
