The Caparzo Riserva Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2017 is an exceptional, mature red wine from the famous Montalcino wine region in Tuscany, Italy. This Riserva is made from 100 per cent Sangiovese Grosso (Brunello), carefully selected from Caparzo’s finest vineyards on limestone- and clay-rich soils, which lend the wine its minerality, depth and structure. Tuscany’s warm, sunny climate, combined with cool nights, ensures optimal ripening of the grapes, resulting in intense fruit aromas, subtle spice and an elegant acidity profile.


Following selective hand-harvesting, vinification takes place traditionally in stainless-steel tanks, before the wine matures for over 36 months in large French oak barrels. It is then aged for a further few months in the bottle to develop its full spectrum of aromas and velvety texture. With an alcohol content of 14.5% vol., the Caparzo Riserva 2017 is powerful, complex and yet elegant – a red wine for connoisseurs, collectors and lovers of Montalcino’s finest wines.
