El Jolgorio Mezcal Espadín is a premium, artisanally produced mezcal from Mexico that reflects the rich tradition of the Zapotec distillers in Oaxaca. With an alcohol content of 48.8% vol. and bottled in a 0.5-litre bottle, this mezcal is an intense and authentic expression of the Espadín agave, characterised by its exceptional purity and artisanal precision.


It is produced exclusively from the Espadín agave (Agave angustifolia), which thrives in the highlands of Oaxaca. After a maturation period of up to eight years, the agaves are traditionally cooked in earthen pits over a wood fire, then crushed with stones and fermented in open wooden casks. Double distillation in small copper stills preserves the plant’s distinctive character and gives the distillate its striking clarity and aromatic intensity. Particularly exclusive: the agaves for this edition were harvested in 2018, and the bottling is limited to just 410 bottles worldwide. This makes this mezcal not only an authentic taste experience, but also a true rarity.
