Made from a carefully crafted mash of maize, rye and barley, this whisky is filtered after distillation using the ‘Charcoal Mellowing’ process, in which the fresh distillate slowly drips through a thick layer of charcoal. This labour-intensive process sets it apart from classic bourbon and gives Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey its particularly smooth, rounded and slightly sweet flavour. It is then matured in handcrafted American white oak casks, which give the whisky its golden colour and the characteristic aromas of vanilla, caramel and oak.
