The Platzer Gelber Muskateller Klassik Vulkanland Steiermark DAC 2025 is a quintessential example of Styrian winemaking – fresh, fragrant and unmistakably aromatic. Produced by the renowned Platzer Winery, this dry white wine reflects the authentic character of the Vulkanland region, where volcanic rock, a cool microclimate and meticulous handcrafting create the perfect conditions for finely structured Muskateller wines.
The grapes grow on medium-textured, lime-free soils composed of weathered volcanic rock, which lend the wine its mineral elegance and freshness. Following the harvest, the wine undergoes classic Styrian vinification – gentle pressing, controlled fermentation and ageing in steel tanks to preserve the variety’s delicate aromas. The Gelber Muskateller Klassik 2025 impresses with its balance between aromatic richness, power and clarity. With an alcohol content of 11.5% by volume and a ageing potential until 2028, it demonstrates that even a classic Muskateller can possess depth and the capacity to mature.
