The Eichenwald DER GEISTESBLITZ Blaufränkisch Reserve 2022 is an outstanding red wine from Central Burgenland that expresses the terroir of its origin with precision and elegance. As a single-varietal Blaufränkisch, it epitomises the distinctive, mineral and spicy style that has made Burgenland internationally renowned. The warm Pannonian influences meet cool night-time temperatures here – ideal conditions for complex aromas, a dense structure and refined acidity.


The wine was aged for 24 months in barriques (first and second-use), giving it depth, structure and a refined oak note without losing any of its freshness. The 2022 vintage is exceptionally clear and terroir-driven: precise, sinewy and full of character. In the magnum bottle (1.5 l), its development unfolds particularly harmoniously and offers impressive ageing potential.
