The Douglas Laing The Gauldrons Eclipse Limited Edition is an exclusive Campbeltown blended malt Scotch whisky that embodies the mysterious spirit of the Scottish west coast. Produced by the renowned family-run company Douglas Laing & Co., which has been synonymous with hand-selected small-batch and single-cask bottlings since 1948, this special edition combines masterful craftsmanship, maritime depth and exceptional cask maturation.

The 2025 Limited Edition is limited to just 3,000 bottles worldwide and is bottled at cask strength at 52.9% ABV – unchill-filtered and with no added colouring, to preserve the whisky’s natural character. What makes it special is that it was matured in orange wine casks from Jerez, Spain, which lend the whisky an unrivalled combination of fruitiness, spice and elegance.

In the glass, The Gauldrons Eclipse displays a rich golden hue and a complex interplay of aromas reminiscent of Campbeltown’s rugged coastline. Notes of malt, dried apricots, orange peel and toasted almonds characterise the nose. On the palate, walnuts, honey, ginger and stone fruits emerge, rounded off by the fresh, citrusy sophistication of the orange wine finish. The finish is long-lasting, warm and spicy, with subtle orange peel, nutty depth and a hint of maritime smoke – a characterful whisky that is a true rarity.
