The Portia Prima La Encina Ribera del Duero 2022 is a characterful, complex red wine made from 100 per cent Tempranillo grapes, which embodies the essence of the famous Ribera del Duero wine region in Castile and León. The vines grow on limestone and clay soils in a continental climate characterised by hot days and cool nights. These conditions ensure perfectly ripened grapes with intense aromas and a precise structure.


Following selective hand-harvesting, the grapes are gently processed and fermented under temperature control. The wine is then aged for at least 15 months in oak barrels, during which time it develops its harmonious balance between ripe fruit, spice and structure. The Portia Prima La Encina Ribera del Duero 2022 is limited to just 15,756 bottles – a wine of rare exclusivity and outstanding quality that reflects the very best of the region. Bodegas Portia, designed by the renowned architectural firm Foster & Partners, is regarded as an architectural landmark of the region: a futuristic building that harmonises cutting-edge design, natural materials and avant-garde forms with the surrounding landscape.
