The Gérard Bertrand Corbières An806 AOP 2022 is an expressive, Mediterranean red wine from the Languedoc, which embodies the quintessence of southern French winemaking tradition in a modern style. This blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre comes from carefully tended vineyards around the Corbières appellation, where stony limestone and schist soils, abundant sunshine and the influence of the Mediterranean give the grapes remarkable ripeness and depth. All the grapes are harvested by hand to ensure the highest quality.


Vinification is carried out with great precision: whilst the Syrah undergoes carbonic maceration for 10 to 18 days, the Grenache and Mourvèdre undergo traditional fermentation on the skins with complete destemming. Following malolactic fermentation, the individual grape varieties are blended into a harmonious cuvée. The wine is then aged for around 8 months in 225-litre Bordeaux-style oak barrels before being lightly fined and bottled. It is subsequently left to age in the bottle for several months to further refine its structure, depth and elegance.
