Dellavalle Grappa Barbera comes from the tradition-conscious Distilleria Dellavalle in Vigliano d’Asti, in the heart of Piedmont, and is a compelling, varietal-typical example of a cask-aged Barbera grappa. The distillery, run by Roberto Dellavalle, uses only high-quality Barbera pomace, which is distilled in small stills to preserve the aromas. The result is a first-class grappa with a pleasant nose, full body and a harmonious combination of fruit, warmth and gentle oak notes. Bottled at 42 per cent by volume, this Barbera grappa displays a mild, balanced character, shaped by the natural characteristics of the grape variety.


Ageing in selected barriques lends the spirit an elegant golden colour, as well as added smoothness and depth. The typical Barbera character blends with subtle woody notes to create a rounded, full-bodied profile. This makes this grappa one of Dellavalle’s most distinctive yet pleasantly accessible bottlings.
