Bushmills Black Bush Irish Whiskey Caviste Edition 43% vol. 0.7 l + GB is a special bottling from Ireland’s oldest licensed whiskey distillery, the Old Bushmills Distillery, which has been operating since 1608 in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, since 1608. This exclusive edition combines centuries-old tradition with a modern maturation process that further refines the distinctive character of Black Bush whiskey.


As is typical of this Linie, malt and grain whisky are blended together before undergoing careful secondary maturation in ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks. This combination results in exceptional depth and an aromatic balance between sweetness, spice and fruitiness. The high proportion of matured malt whisky in the blend gives Black Bush its particularly smooth texture and elegant complexity.


At 43 per cent ABV, the Caviste Edition has a more robust structure than the classic Black Bush, whilst remaining harmonious and well-rounded. The influence of the sherry casks brings out rich notes of dried fruit, caramel and nuts, whilst the bourbon casks contribute gentle vanilla and a hint of oak. The result is a multi-layered Irish whisky that is equally impressive when enjoyed neat or in sophisticated whisky cocktails.
