The Caparzo La Casa Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2020, 14.5% ABV, 0.75 l, is an outstanding Tuscan red wine that embodies the essence of a great Brunello di Montalcino – elegant, powerful and with remarkable structure. It comes from the renowned Caparzo winery, one of the region’s pioneers, which presents ‘La Casa’ as one of its most prestigious vineyards. This single vineyard is situated in the north-west of Montalcino and is one of the appellation’s historic crus, renowned in particular for its microclimatic balance between sun, wind and soil conditions.


The wine is made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso, a grape variety that is able to develop its full complexity on the estate’s calcareous clay soils. Following fermentation, the Brunello is aged for 12 months in French barriques and then for a further 24 months in large French oak casks with a capacity of 30 hectolitres. This extended ageing in wood lends it its harmonious structure, depth and refined maturity. The result is a wine that perfectly blends tradition and modernity – a classic Brunello with timeless elegance and impressive ageing potential.
